Tadoba is a national park and a Tiger reserve located in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. The 1727 sq km area is under the project tiger. It is the largest national park of Maharashtra and 43rd tiger reserve of India.
The rivers are the lifeline of this national park. The name tadoba derives from the name of god named “Taru”. Andheri River, Tadoba Lake, junoria lake are the main source of fresh river for this amazing ecosystem.
Tadoba is the highest tiger hosting tiger reserve of India. According to a report of 2010 there are 43 tigers in this national park.
This national park ids the home of many mammal species including gaur, Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, chital, deer, sambhar and Nilgai. In Tadoba many reptile species like Indian python, cobra, tortoise are also feel its home here.

The lake inside the park is best habitat for water birds, Visitor can see more than 195 species of birds including many of the endangered birds species.
