Kumarkom – An ultimate Destination for Bird Watchers

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary or Vembanad is located on the east coast of Vembanad Lake. This sanctuary is covered by the lake in background which makes it the picturesque spot. It is the home of many local and migratory birds and a popular destination of bird watchers.

Bird Species in Kumarakom Sanctuary

The scene look like a painting. Birds flying in a clear sky, lush green tree looks amazing in Sunrise and sunset. Every year many birds come here from Himalayas and Siberia. Waterfowl, Egret, Owl, Siberian crane, Brahminy Kite, Parrot, Flycatchers are some of them.
