29 Apr Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary in Gujarat
Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary is largest wetland and located in Gujarat. Many migratory birds from Central Europe in the sanctuary during the winter, come in search of food and warmth. The bird sanctuary is found almost 200 species of birds, including brown and white Beding bird, black-tailed godwit, Stint, Flock etc.

The sanctuary is a rich source of worms, reeds and aquatic plants. There is plenty of water found in this lake during February to November. During this season you can see the large amount of fishes. The place is a paradise for the birds, birds enjoy watching those who have accomplished. The area was spread, in 1969 it was given the status of sanctuary.
In 24th november 2013, nal sarowar bird sanctuary is declared as a Ramsar site. This means to list into a wetland ecosystem. Last ramsar site was declared in India in the year 2005.
