Great Himalayan National Park is a world heritage site located in Himachal Pradesh. This park is also known as Jawaharlal Nehru GHNP. This place is one of the main attraction of Kullu. The natural beauty and biodiversity of this place is amazing.

This park has great natural beauty and ecological importance. This park was built by combining two wildlife sanctuaries one is Sainj and other one is Tirthan in 1994. The park is lies in Banjar sub division of parvati valley.
Bio Diversity of the park: – Himalayan region is always a treasure of natural beauty and wildlife. This habitat has a rich collection of flora and fauna.
Flora- The altitude of 1500 to 6000 meter makes this place rich of flora. alpine meadows, subalpine zone are richest in species.
Fauna: – This park hosts more than 300 species of fauna. The 30+ mammas species along with 3 reptile species, 15+ mollusks and 9 species of amphibians makes this place perfect for wildlife lovers.
The wildlife of this park is protected under wildlife protection Act 1972.
Bird Species in Great Himalayan National park: – This park hosts more than 150+ species of birds. The major bird species includes Redstarts, Himalayan Griffon Vultures and Golden Eagles, Grey-winged blackbirds, Golden Bush Robin and Long-tailed Minivets.This park is also a habitat of endangered bird Western Tragopan and Monal.
