Sariska national park or Sariska Tiger reserve locates in Alwar district of Rajasthan. Once this place is known as the hunting ground of Alwar state. In 1955 this place is declared as a wildlife sanctuary. In 1974 this wildlife sanctuary gets the title of National park.
This National Park is located in the beautiful Aravali Hills and is spread over 800 square kilometers. Here you can see green grass and rocky mountains. The 17th century castle located around sanctuary it makes panoramic view of flight of vultures and eagle’s.

Animals in Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary: – The national park hosts both the animals and birds. Major bird species of this national park includes large number of peacocks, woodpeckers, eagle and many others. The animals which are found in this park are listed below-
  • Leopard
  • Nilgai
  • Wild Boar
  • Baboon
  • Hyena
The place is well known for tiger conservation. According to the recent survey sariska tiger reserve national park hosts more than  20 tigers.
Best Time to visit –October to January.
