Manipur has only one national park and it is located in Bishnupur District named as Keibul Lamjao National park. This park was declared as a sanctuary in 1966, the main aim to make it a sanctuary is to preserve Sangai and Eid’s Deer, later in 1977 it was declared as a National park.
It is the only floating national park in all over the world and is a home for brow-antlered deer (Endangered species). The major highlight of this place is Loktak lake, stretched over an area of 6475 hectare. This lake is a largest freshwater lake in India.
Total Area- 40 Sq. Km.
Flora- Keibul Lamjao national park has semi- evergreen forest, in its rich aquatic wetlands consists more than 230 species of macrophytes and rooted floating leafs.

This is the perfect place to spot Deers, this place is dedicated to the conservation of Sangai, but visitors have the opportunity to see large variety of animal species. visiting the keibul lamjao National Park and never forgettable Boat ride is just amazing. I was there in last winters after that , we did camping there and the experience was really fantastic.
