4 Associated places of char Dham yatra in Uttarakhand –

Every year from May to October thousands of devotees can participate in this holy trip, below are the places of char Dham tour –

1. Yamunotri –

A source of Yamuna river, Yamunotri is located at an altitude of 10,804 feet in the north of Uttarkashi, the Yamunotri temple and the thermal springs of Janki Chatti is the main attraction of this place. It is one of the first char Dham sites which we will visit on the 3rd day of the tour.

2. Gangotri –

Gangotri is a Hindu pilgrimage site, located in a bank of Bhagirathi river, according to Hindu mythologies, this is the place where goddess Ganga descended when lord shiva released this might river after Bhagirath done penance of Lord Shiva. In this char Dham tour, we will witness this holy shrine on the 5th day of the tour.

3. Kedarnath-

It is a place of Lord shiva, Kedarnath is blessed by lord Shiva, this majestic sight is surrounded by snow covered peaks. The first temple of Shiva was built by Pandava’s and later the in 8th century Adi sharkaracharya made the present temple. We will here on day 7, of the char Dham trip.

4. Badrinath –
